The next Mia Hamm?
For the last six months, quite possibly longer than that as I’ve kinda lost count, dollbaby has been driving us crazy with her pleas to play soccer. Well, she is finally going to get her chance. Tonight, I plunked down $70.00 of my husbands hard earned money to sign her up for spring soccer. I’m not one to follow trends and have my children enrolled in everything under the sun. I’m a firm believer that if they’re truly interested in trying something they’ll keep hounding me until I say yes. Gameboy did that with T-ball and play one season, then decided he didn’t like it and never played again. He also did that for music sign ups for school at the end of last year and now he’s taking drum lessons. And while I know nothing about soccer and could really care less about the game, my little one was so excited she was going to get to play, she wanted to come home and kick the ball around the back yard in the dark, cold night. Will she stick with it? Who knows. If she doesn’t like it, I certainly won’t make her play again next year, but if her track record is any indication, once she sinks her teeth into something she sees it through. You never know, I might be raising the next Mia Hamm.

How sad is it that I have no idea who Mia Hamm is? Good luck with Dollbaby and soccor. Hopefully, she’ll enjoy it.
