Ms. Cary did a great job of bringing provocative desires to the forefront while she avoided making them the solution to the couple’s marital strife. I especially love the ending of this book and think you will too.

While you’re enjoying your parades and cookouts this weekend, don’t for get to take a moment to remember those who gave their all to make this great country what it is today. Then take another moment and remember those who are continuing the thankless task of keeping our country safe and free.

Have a safe and wonderful 4th of July!

When life gives you lemons…

Posted in Life on July 3rd, 2008 by Administrator

Try to find some vodka and make some hard lemonade!

Seriously though, I’ve been a bit absent from my blog and the web over the past few weeks and I figure it was about time to explain. Back in May I started not feeling so well. After a trip to my doc I ended up in a kidney specialist office with a preliminary diagnosis of Nephrotic Syndrome. Needless to say, finding out your kidneys are damaged is a scary thing. Learning that the doctor doesn’t know why is even worse. He ‘thinks’ it was caused by the same virus that causes strep throat. If untreated, it can apparently travel through the body and wreak havoc on the internal organs. Who knew?

So, in order to determine the exact cause, I’m in the process of having tests run and fighting fatigue while I wait. I’m probably facing a biopsy sometime in the next month or so. I’ll admit when my doc first mentioned it, all kinds of scary scenarios raced through my head. The word ‘biopsy’ is never associated with anything good, despite what my doctor tells me. Since then, I’ve had time to get things in perspective. Hell, I’ve given birth - twice! I’ve had needles in my back before, so what’s one more? And if it will give us the answers that will hopefully make me better, then I say bring it on. If by chance it is something worse, then at least I’ll know what I’m facing. Either way, it’s time for answers.

Meanwhile, my posts on here may be a bit sporadic, and for that I apologize. Some days are harder than others and between working a ‘real job’, taking care of my kiddos and hubby, there’s very little energy left for writing and such. I am still trying to plug away on some new projects. It’s a slow process, but I endeavor to continue and push through this bump in the road. I’m going to try and do better at keeping up on my blog so be sure to keep checking back because you never know when something blog worthy might pop up.

Thanks,

Michelle
