5 stars!

This was a great read! Michelle Cary captured all the emotions, thoughts and everyday dilemmas that wives and mothers everywhere feel, and somehow managed to turn it into a sexy, steamy, romantic voyage of rediscovering your spouse, as well as yourself.

I only have good things to say about this book, and I have never read a more real-to-life author. If you haven’t already, be sure to add Michelle Cary to your list. And while you are at it, grab yourself a copy of For Better or for Worse, you won’t be disappointed.

I survived my 1st book signing!

Posted in Life, Writing, books on June 16th, 2008 by Administrator

On Saturday I had my very first book signing. It was held at the Borders Express in the Voorhees Town Center (formally the Echelon Mall) in Voorhees, NJ. I was so nervous that moring I didn’t eat and my husband was a gem. He not only kept the kids out of my path he took dollbaby to a friend’s birthday party that should wouldn’t have been able to attend otherwise. I walked into the store nervous as hell and wondering exactly what I was supposed to do. Thankfully for me within a few minutes of being there I sold a book and from there I found my footing and dug in.

Many people wouldn’t even look at me when they walked in. Others would give me a curious glance and say hi, but kept walking. Other’s would engage me in coversation, but didn’t purchase a book. All in all by the time my two hours was up, I’d sold six of the ten copies the store had ordered. With nothing to gauge by I can only assume that’s a good thing. At three o’clock I signed the remaining stock, packed up my things, purchased a couple of books for my kiddos, thanked the sales associates for having me and left.

The great thing is, I’ve been invited back for a second signing when my next book hits print next year!

A friend of mine sent me this link in an e-mail. I just had to put it up. It takes a couple of minutes, but it’s well worth it.

Tonight my hubby’s band Dog eat Dog will be performing at the Whiskey Tango in Philadelphia. If you live in the area, come on down and see a fantastic AC/DC tribute band. I’ll be there too, running the video camera, so feel free to say hi. It’s sure to be loads of fun so don’t miss it if you don’t have to.

Just remember to thank a vet while you’re having your cook out and enjoying your day off. If it wasn’t for them, we wouldn’t have all the freedoms and pleasures we do! Wishing you all a safe and happy day.

Busy, busy, busy!

Sorry I’ve been absent recently. I’ve yet to find that perfect balance between working a ‘real job’, running the kiddos to band practice, karate, and soccer practice, marketing my releases, reading, spending time with my family, house cleaning and oh yeah…writing.

Actually, I haven’t been doing much writing lately. The muse is a bit finicky. She doesn’t like having to be creative after 9:00 at night, which unfortunately is usually the only time I have available for writing. Which means not much gets done. I’m hoping its just the ‘after finished book’ slump I usually go through and that my pesky muse will step up soon and push me to write. If not, it may be a very long time before my next book!

So, for you writers out there I ask… What time of the day is best for your muse? For you readers, when do you eek out the time to enjoy your favorite e-book or paperback and does anybody have any ideas for kicking my muse in the butt?

Moonlight Cancelled!

That’s right. Apparently CBS doesn’t care about what their viewing audience thinks. I along with a lot of other fans dedicated a lot of time and effort letting CBS know how much we loved this show, yet the word came down tonight. It’s done and apparently in the last episode Mick and Beth will be too. It’s a sad day for this Moonlight fan. I for one have no other reason to watch CBS and will happily give my TV viewing time (what little I have) to some other channel. If you’re a fan of moonlight upset by this turn of events I suggest you do the same. Write CBS and let them know you’re unhappy and you want moonlight back. Tell them you’re going to boycott if they don’t bring it back. If you’re a moonlight fan, don’t let this show go down without a fight!

Thank you, Anne!

I just have to say thank you to author Anne Douglas, who brought my .com address and my blog together in one nice little package. The site looks great and for this inept internet challenged author, I couldn’t have done it without you! So thanks!!!
